how can i fix my hotpoint wd440?

the machine will not switch on.i have checked the plug is ok.what next?

Hotpoint Hotpoint WD440 Household Appliances, Tumble Dryers Hotpoint Switch Checked

start with the normal checks, door button stuffed with fluff etc,

Go buy a £4.99 voltage meter from Maplin or an electrical testing screwdriver is just almost as good.

check power to timer unit, check power out from timer when turned on.

Check power to motor and heater.

There's a fault in there somewhere but usually door switches etc.
