How to fix LCD panel?

I have a Ford 7000 RDS EON unit and the LCD fades away and comes back about 45 mins later.
It is never fully bright and this is not acceptabe.
Can anyone tell me if/how it can be repaired and do you know where i can take it for repair.
I live in Tonbridge,Kent.
I may add the LCD backlight is always fine it is the digital number displays that are the problem.
