HOW CAN I FIX?

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY I GET LIVE ON THE NUTRAL WIRE??

Mo K

Peccavi I meant the neutral WIRE (black or blue) not that it actually IS a neutral. Perhaps I should have been more specific, sorry.

Mo K do you live in London perchance?

Yes - a Neutral wire that's live is not a Neutral wire it's a Live Wire.

What were you or are you doing to find that your "neutral" is live. I am guessing you don't periodically, ramdomly test neutral wires to see if they are live. Knowing what you were doing may help in diagnosing your issue. Where was this "neutral" what circuit were you working on. How did you test for voltage.

A case of Termin(a)logical ineptitude it seems.
Peccavi's expertise is wasted on this site.

Peccavi no say what Adam said he said...Adam speak with forked tongue...

As Peccavi said, the neutral is used as switched live in lighting circuits, although should be suitably identified as such.
Alternatively it could be due to imbalanced phase loading, in which case you should probably have it looked at.

Either a wiring fault OR - if it's at the ceiling rose - the Black wire with power on it comes from the light switch and is NOT a Neutral - it's the switched Line that connects to the lamp - It should have a red or brown sleeve on it as an identifying warning.
