I have a worcester 280 which switched itself off new years eve .It will not fire back up there is no pilot light at all therefore i have no heating or hot water. HELP
Glad to help Richard but WD40 is only a short term answer. Your going to need a new fan. Sorry...

Cheers for the feedback. Turns out it was the fan - it was blocked causing the motor to overwork. Bit of WD40, jobs a good un.

This boiler dosent have a permanent pilot. It lights with a spark when there is a call for heat.
Dose the pump run?
If yes
Dose the Fan run?
If yes
Do you get a spark?

If yours is a pressurised system -check the pressure has not fallen too low - if it has, top it up and then re light. Look at your instruction manual for directions.
