Hi my sony ericsson w580i will not turn on at all it only shows a red binki?

Hi my sony ericsson w580i will not turn on at all it only shows a red binking light on the right hand side can u please help.

Needs a software flash, it's software related or the battery.

If the battery is stuffed it will do that so try a battery first, if it doesn't chage it needs to be flashed at a phone shop.
