54 Renault Scenic dashboard gone off?

Interesting as Renault customer services said this wasn't an issue they knew about

flickering on and off, had to keep resetting time clock, booked in local renault dealer for new dashboard, they said cost would be £100, i asked the question would i lose the mileage, i was told no, picked car up after repair and handed my bill with present mileage attached to 1 year guarantee and told mileage was zero on new dash, so if decide to sell my car, new buyer has to ring renault to confirm mileage at change of new dash, they said they could not install mileage on new dash, wish i had not bothered as dash was working ok at time of repair, anybody out there had same problem.

Yeah Renault told me a hundred quid on the phone but didn't about the diagnostic charge or mention that I'd lose my mileage. Apparently these have been a common problem & can fail again.

Contact your local Renault dealer and they WILL repair it for £100.00 as it is and was their problem in the first place. Just had mine done perfect!.

got same problem, called renault cs, they referred me to a local renualt dealer who replaced it with a new one with old mileage intact. everything cost 100quid after tax

mine has just gone and renault have agreed to replace control panel for £100 but if they are aware of an ongoing problem why should we have to pick up the cost?

I bought my Scenic from JOE NORRIS, NAVAN, CO. MEATH. I too experienced the DASHBOARD problem, and was told by the garage that it was the first they had seen!!!! They quoted 600euro,but we fought our ground and got it replaced under warranty. The car was just under 3 years old. I have met so many Scenic owners who have experienced the same problem, and who were also told by the garage that they had not seen it before. I now have spent 1300 euro on a cv replacement, and 240 on a motor for a rear window. I am sick of it, and more so sick of the dishonesty of the garage. It is a rip off and should merit a recall. I will NEVER buy another scenic or any renault for that matter.

ours has done just the same. Apparently renault warrington have sold 200 this month alone!!!! bit of a recall issue or what???

i have had to send mine away to be fixed 200 pound to repair. go to ebay search on renault scenic dashboard.Much cheaper than renault.
