Have had to do this a few times now on my 206.
Buy a spring cpompressor - believe me it will make things a whole lot easier.
Undo the 3 nuts on the top of the strut - as it will be moving around a bit. (car on 1 or 2 axle stands). you need a good 2-3ft pry bar. Undo and take out lower clamp bolt, position pry bar over the wishbone, then under the lower part of the chassis that the wishbone sits in. Press down. You could also attatch a bar underneath with a small shackle if you wish instead.
You don't need to drain the G box - just put a bowl under the area where the driveshaft joins the engine. Refill through the Gbox breather - black plastic plug top rear of the Gbox - but hard to see with the battery tray still there. Take off Air filter box to see it.
Refill with small bottle with stubby pipe attatched. Remove the fill/drain plug to get level right - need special drain plug tool for this.
If doing driveshaft/CV - remove drive nut while wheel is still on as the first job - needs big breaker bar.
Best of luck
Richard - Aberdeen.
