How to fix my maytag washer?

Maytag Dependable care Quiet plus Heavy duty 2 speed super capacity 10 cycles Model#LAT8606AAE Serial#23136040UB 120v. 60 HZ washer only clicks when you turn it on to began washing doesnt do anything and trips the breaker in our fuse box.Was working fine a couple of days ago it did'nt drain all the water out after washing the other night so I turned it on to spin and drain I thougt it was fine so I left it until the next morning I went to put the items I had washed assumeing they were spinned and ready to dry but when I opened the washer It still had the water in it I tried to turn it on but it would'nt do anything but click and trip the breaker.There was'nt much water in the tub possibly at least three or four gallon that never spinned out.

it is probably the motor shorting out and kicking the breaker test it before you buy any parts and pay anybody take the belt off and see if it runs first see if that helps

A couple of months ago I had a simular problem with my Maytag, It just didn't drain the water. My first thought was to replace the water pump. So I called a professional repair man to fix it since I couldn't. I had already bought a water punp online which made the cost a lot cheaper.Ater I saw how he did it I said I will never call him again. 1st disconnect the power,after opening the front, place towels to help stop the water from getting all over the floor(2-3 bth twls).locate the water pump (bottom right)losen the hose to remove it. water pump should come right out replace with new pump and reconnect the power should be ready to use immediately.
