Mend Grohe Grohedal Toilet Flush System Repair

My Grohedal concealed flush system won't flush properly?

My Grohedal concealed flush system won't flush properly, as we can't push the button in far enough. We used to be able to do this. I now have to take off the surround to push the button far enough. Is this to do with the pressure system?
