How can I fix a Crown Point Sewing machine -Type SANWA SZA-645FL?

As soon as the machine is plugged into the mains it runs at full speed. there is no control over the speed with the foot pedal

Hello John,
The problem is in the foot control, undo it and take out the suppressor, you will soon see it, it looks like a fuse, discard it, you don't need it it has probably fused.common fault.
