Mend Ford Focus Warning Light

My Ford focus has run smoothly for 3 years and now has an electrical fault?

A warning light suddenly comes on and the care loses acceleration and slows to safety speed, after a week in the garage and a300 pound bill it is returned only to find 2 weeks later the same problem arises. Another 2 weks of the garage trying to sort it out , No response and the car is being returned to me.

your garage must be next to useless,light comes on, a fault will be recorded.what was the fault code,and did they understand what it meant,or did they just fit parts in the hope it would get better.
