how can i fix my condenser hotpoint ctd00?

This is a cr*p machine that I keep having to repair too! There is a thermal cut out switch in the top of the front RH side of the drum which is the size of a penny. You will need to take the top off the machine, unplug first or it will give you a bolt! (remove both screws at the rear and bang the top front edge back to slide the top towards the back and off). You will see it on the top rh side. Remove the 2 wires, remove the two screws, turn the pill shaped switch over and reset it by pushing in the centre (may be via a hole in the face some times.)
If this does not reset and allow the heater to work buy a new switch online. You can test if the switch is faulty by insulation taping together the 2 wires that go into this trip switch and if the element heats you know the switch is faulty as you have bypassed it.
