PLEASE IGNORE MY PREVIOUS COMMENTS. THE GAS ENGINEER TURNED UP, HIT A BUTTON (OR TWO) AND FIXED THE PROBLEM. I TOLD HIM I'D FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR RESET. HE TOLD ME THE ENGINEERS HAVE A 'SPECIAL' RESET CODE AND HE WASN'T PREPARED TO DIVULGE THE SAID. I ASKED HIM ABOUT F76 AS DESCRIBED ON VAILLANTS PDF DOCUMENT. HE TOLD ME IT WAS RUBBISH. BEWARE OF BEING RIPPED OFF ON THIS ONE. THE GUY HIT A BUTTON (OR TWO) AND THE SYSTEM WORKS PERFECTLY. NO WORK...IT TOOK HIM 1 MINUTE...AND PART OF THAT WAS THE RESET TIME... ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS. IF THE GUY CAN FIX A PROBLEM BY PUSHING A BUTTON, WHY CAN'T THE PUBLIC?
