Mend GE GSS201EMB Refrigerator Freezer Defrost

Whats wrong with my GE side by side refrigerator?

GE refrigerator model gss201emb, serial # za233250. It has stoped freezing and cooling. We have taken the back panel off out of the freezer and its all froze up. We have defosted it and it lasted about a week and its happing again. Can you help?

The same thing happened to me. It was the defrost heater. I paid $260 to have it replaced by sears. I found out later I could have done it myself for under $40.
