If you would like to iron on a blue jean patch then continue reading.
I hope this helps (I'm a bachelor guy -- and naturally we do things the foolish way): you'll need an iron and a nice blue jean patch. Both should be easy to find in a department store (household appliances? and fabrics?).
Once you've got an iron and patches: open package of blue jean patches and look at the instructions that came with that particular set of patches.
Follow the instructions on the package, too. My instructions are more of an explanation on ironing more than a set of instructions.
An explanation on how the patch works? Basically you'll take one side of the patch (the shiny, 'glue' side) and get it to stick to the inside of the jeans.
Instructions on placement: Make sure to close up the hole as much as possible. Put the patch over the area with hole (cover the hole with the patch?). Flip the jeans inside out and iron the patch onto the jeans.
Instructions on ironing: notice that most irons have a dial like a gas stove. You're going to need to heat that patch glue up with the iron -- let it cool for a good few hours -- then it should be wearable. Also, if the jeans start to darken... then you should probably stop burning your jeans, dude.
