Mend Hotpoint Aquarius 1200 Drain Filter

The water wont drain out of my Hotpoint Aquarius 1200!!!?

I think that it may be blocked. There doesnt seem to be access to a filter on the front. (It has let me open the door) Is there any way I can avoid calling the repair man???

Undo the screws on the lower back plate. The pump and sump hose/filter housing can now be accessed. Use a decent set of pliers to release the retianing clips.
