Baxi Combi 80e?

I have had no heating or hot water for almost 6 days now. The neon light flashes to say there is a fan/flue fault. I have cover with a company and they have said I need a pcb but that it's impossible to get one as my boiler is approx 10 years old. He's saying I need a new boiler. I have had a friend have a look and he said that it hasn't even been serviced properly for around 3 years!!!! My friend has said it is either the gas valve pcb and that it is fixable. I have BG coming round now and am hoping and praying that they will fix it ok. Has anyone come across this problem before and had it fixed ok? I am so fed up!
