Could also be an inlet weak, so when your pull back the throttle it suck's in more air. This will give a weak mixture; so it will rev ok but will bog down when loaded)

Check all your fixings where the carb mounts.

Hi John,
3 things come to mind, Sparkplug gap too close, mixture incorrect, plugged exhaust. The sparkplug could be gapped too close or carbon fouled, the mixture could be off (usually too much fuel) and if the exhaust baffles are carboned up it will be like trying to run while constipated.
