Mend Sportcraft TX300 Treadmill Fine Running

How can I fix my Sportcraft TX300 Treadmill?

It seems to work fine until I get on. When any weight is placed on the walking surface, it stops running.

MY DOG CHEW THE CORD THAT GOES FROM HANDLE TO TOP BASE. I am not sure what it's call can someone help me thanks
