If the coil is OK, forget about the points and fit an electronic conversion module. I sell them at £8.99 + P&P, and the flywheel does not have to come off.

Remove starter clutch. Find a socket that is a good fit on the end of the crankshaft, to act as a protector. Place a lever behind the flywheel and apply pressure in the direction of 'off'. Not too much is needed - you are not going to lever it off!
Using an 8oz hammer, hit the socket you have placed over the crank end. Usually, one or two blows will pop the flywheel off with no damage.
You can now access the ignition gear.
