Mend Snapper Hard Starting Engine

Hard starting Snapper rider?

I have a rear engine Snapper rider with a manual recoil starter..called pull and pull and pull somemore. If I pull the plug and give it a squirt of gas it starts on the first pull and runs fine. I can't see where the choke isn't closing or it isn't getting gas with the spark plug trick. Are there any adj. that I can't see?

drain old gas from carb and fuel tank. fill with new. sometimes thats all it takes. if that wont do the trick clean or replace plug with a new one. and check and clean mag with sand paper.
