how do I check clutch on Fiat Punto 60s?

How can I check if my loss of gears is due to no clutch fluid or my clutch cable needs adjusting or if my clutch has gone altogether

check the fluid in the resevoir under the bonnet if it is up to the limit line that means fluid level ok,adjusting the clutch cable can be done quite easily if you or a friend know what to do,Normally if you start the car and you select a gear without pressing the clutch,that means you require a new clutch,hope advise helped
