Mend Mercedes-Benz 413 Starting Fault Fine

starting fault?

hi i have a 413 sprinter 2003 when i get it started it runs and drive fine with no faults but if i turn it off it wont start just keeps turning over having to use easy start in the air box to start there is no air in the fuel line either just had new filter can anybody help its driving me nuts

i had this problem with my 311cdi, it got harder and harder to start - came into effect on about 80 000 miles, a friend of mine had the same problem with a 313 at about 75 000, it turned out to be some sort of problem with the seals in the fuel pump, when i actually got it to start it was if there was no problem at all.

on the back of fuel rail is a rubber sealing washer. cost about 67p from merc.the seal stops fuel running back to tank.
