brush bar will not turn?

The brush bar will not turn. There are no apparent obstructions. rubber smell when turned on. Do you have a manual for changing the belt?

if you smell rubber there is debri in the bushings of the bar, normally found on the ends of the beater bar...

knowing the make helps a great deal in helping you.
