Hotpoint WT960p-Keeps blowing fuses?

Great news, great news!!...I have already sent out news on the fixing of this machine,but it does not appear on this post??....Anyway, thanks again to MM for his contribution. When the pcb blew I noticed one of the connectors/clusters was burnt. At the point of the burn I traced it (blue wires)back towards the thermo to which I previously mentioned whether it can cause the machine to blow? I replaced the burnt out cluster-carefully cutting/reconnecting the wires. I replaced the module-connected all the connectors back, then ran a test firstly without the thermo off the heater,but connected back the water solenoids-appears ok. I connected back the thermo onto the heater element-appears ok - No bang!! I put everything back included the weight on the drum. Screwed back everything. I returned the outlet hose, pushed back machine in it's rightful place, turned on water supply & machine then selected a rinse program. Filled up nicely, cycled a bit, then selected a spin/drain program-worked a treat. It appears now to be a lot quieter than before. Lets hope I get another 6yrs out of it. Always remember, if you know what you are doing-Be careful,Perseverance is key!

Thanks for your reply,I have no testing equipment to hand. I have one(pcb) on order & will take precautions in testing the machine. If it goes again-then a new machine will be on order. If I was more technically savvy then I could've dealt with the testing much better. Its too expensive for a technician. What to do?

what instrument are you using to test the machine?low insulation is the easiest fault to find with a megger,component changing is a very expensive way to test a machine,as you have found out,
you need to test it properly,first remove the plug from the socket,check the cable itself back to the machine,check the capacitor,remove wires of each water valve,take note where they go,test them with megger.thats one clip from the megger to earth the other on each side of the valve in turn,test the motor,remove the plug from motor,check from each terminal to earth,remove all leads from heater,do same as you have done with motor,check door lock ,the megger should be set on 500 volts,be carful with the megger do not touch the crocodile clips when you press the button,,the power goes to door switch,then to the timer then to the control module then to varius components
