how to fix Fault 1 on a ferolli DOMIcompact F24 D boiler?

I have had an engineer out to my boiler 4 times. it is alway fault 1. However, for some time there was water getting into my boiler as my flu wasn't fitted correctly. this has been rectified but boiler still not working.

Yes i have been told it is an ignition problem. I have had the ignition setting turned up as the setting in the book was to low for my flume but that hasn't worked. I have been told that it may be the mother board - hoping not due to cost!
