i have a drayton digistat scr wireless system?

Have problem with my boiler not starting up scr receives message and single red light then green not firing up unit clicks. any suggestion

Im not getting any heating the boiler is not linking with the digistat i changed the batterys and and even tryed pressing the over ride button.what should i try now?

We are on our second SCR Unit and this has stopped working again! As a temporary fix if you wire unit 1 into unit 3 on the reverse this places the boiler on permentantly pending a fix. I have been also told by Drayton that this can be wired into a light socket to stop the need of going down to the garage to turn the bolier off.
I would not recommend this system and am considering have a hard wired system to replace.

If the unit is only 1 month old then it should be under warranty either by your supplier or your installer. Take it back with a receipt and get a replacement.

If it works with the cupboard door open I suggest that you are either over heating the unit when the door is shut, it is rated at a temperature of 45 degrees C ambient, above this it will start to break down or with the cupboard door shut the signal to the unit is reduced.

there is a signal check you can do but it depends on the type of thermostat you are using to control the unit.

If the red light is on permanantly it means the two units are not talking to each other, in this condition the over ride button can be used to bring the boiler on manually. The over ride does not work if the red light is not on - you cannot over ride a working system!

Failing that as i said their tech line is brilliant - real customer service.

Some of the reciever units are a bit dodgy. I have the same problem and have traced the fault to the SCR unit. powering down helps but its not a reliable method and only temporary. I'm about to buy a new SCR unit.

I have this device, badged as British Gas. Less than a month old, and so far we have had 4 visits from British Gas to try and get it to work reliably. And a new thermostat. The system works in a random fashion, quite often it does not start on cold mornings, but does in the afternoon. Hot water is very patchy. 5th visit from British Gas due tomorrow. The same engineer keeps coming, and cannot offer an explanation as to why it will not work reliably. If I leave the cupboard door wide open, it usually starts!

I have the same problem. I think either the transmitter is not working or the receiver.

I assume you have changed the batteries in the stat?

If that's not the problem, you could try powering the stat and the receiver off for 10 minutes. Remove the batteries, and isolate the boiler on the main power supply, not the boiler switch, the fused power switch on the wall.

If that doesn't work, I suspect you need to buy a new one.
