how can i fix my headlights 1.2 auto micra 2005/55?

i have checked connectors. fuses. bulbs.all the usual
Sometimes r/h sometimes l/h sometimes both dont work
they seem to have a mind of there own .Is there some kind of control/ relay that could be faulty.
Both side and high beam lights work perfectly.
Also my husband says why is my driving so cr*p

wiggly bulbs when lights are switched on in low beam position,and not working.if they light up, possibly loose or poor connection ,where wire clip holds bulb in headlamp unit...poor driving...withhold sexual favours till you husbands opinions of your driving improves.
