How can I fix my Kenmore Sewing Machine Model #148 19371?

I have a Kenmore Sewing Machine Model #148 19371 which I purchased used without a manual. I tested the zigzag when I first started to use the machine and it worked. Now for some reason, it doesn't. Everything else seems to be working fine. Do you have any suggestions?
