i have tried everything..>nothing is working and I'm frustrated. I went to windows support and followed all their instructions. I find it odd that none of my programs are listed when you go to ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS. I bought iolo system shield 3 internet security disk and it will not load after the download. It tells me it cannot connect wit iolo's server. Can anyone help me?? I also have problems loading myspace-my media player isn't working or visible on pc.
I FIXED IT, FINALLY! AFTER TWO LONG WEEKS OF READNG SUPPORT INFO AND BLOGS. STARTED BY RESTARTING THE PC IN SAFEMODE. I HAD TO TYPE REGEDIT IN THE RUN SPACE. EXPORT THE RPCSS KEY FROM THE REGISTRY AND DELETE IT. SOUNDS SIMPLE BUT IT HAD LOTS OF STEPS. GO TO MICROSOFT SUPPORT & TYPE "ERROR 1058". MY COMPUTER IS WORKING JUST FINE NOW. ASKBOBRANKIN.COM HAD AN ARTICLE ABOUT THIS TOO BUT THE SUPPORT WEBSITE TOLD U IN DETAIL HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. GOOD LUCK!
