Does it heat its own water, or does it have to have a hot water supply?

Had a similar problem, (She said) small bang and smell of burning, also tripped the curcuit breakers and blew the fuse. stripped the top off and found sooty deposits to back of the main control knob. I then removed the controller board out and the curcuit board had blown in a couple of areas. A new Control board is approx £105 with the V odka A nd T onic. Had too many sorry episodes with Hotpoints so buying a new Bosch.

Had same problem, the coil in the door lock switch had short circuit causing it to burn out and also wipe a track out on the Main circuit board. Now I do not know the connections of the many plugs that connect to be board!! So if anyone can privide info please do.

Found answer myself it was the door interlock, temp repair and to prove fault, short out Live and common, contacts on lock and insulate. If this does not cure problem look at print on PCB board near end to see if it has go OC and repair.
