Stacy, I hope you sorted your problem with your boiler however here is the way to increase the pressure in the system.
Look for a braided flexi-pipe with a black lever arm connected between the rising/incoming cold mains water pipe{15mm/1/2in} and the central heating pipe{22mm/3/4in}
this is located just below the boiler in most cases.
Open the valve with the lever arm and observe the pressure dial indicator then close the valve completely when the pressure is 1.5, do not go any higher than this.
If after a short period of time (a few days or so)the pressure drops to zero again then you have another fault which requires attention(poss failed expansion vessel) and you will require the services of a qualified heating engineer.
