when turning on computer it beeps twice and the error message comes on 8603 pointing device errpr/ my keyboard is locked and mouse does not work i can't do anything.
Turn on computer, go into CMOS setup and select the option "best performance setting" or Default Setting, save the setting and exit to restart computer.

Swap your mouse and keyboard cables. They are mismatched, when the keyboard is locked and can't do anything. It happens to the best of us.

Download the Hardware Maintenance Manual from www.lenovo.com and work your way through the diagnostics.
If you do not find the fault quite quickly or it needs a new part, other than a mouse, then I'd bin it. 300 GLs are ancient history.
BTW 300 GLs are not laptops, they are desktops.
