Mend Ford Transit 80 Battery Light

tension alterator belt on Transit 80?

Hi how do I tension the alternator belt on a Transit 80 1999? The battery light comes on when running and the belt is very slack. Thanks Alan

Ford Ford Transit 80 Vehicles, Vans Transit Battery Light

If the van is a diesel then the belt is tensioned by pivoting the alternator.
