Hi all,
Sorry I have been all over the shop and did not check here for your comments.
It has never done this from new, but I have had a plumber look at it and he is concerned that the boiler is not getting the right information back to put itself in to stanby.
As a result he thinks the 'Boilermate' is constantly on and the pumps are driving water around the system. He put it down to one of two things:
1. There were not enough wires available on the existing cabling for it to be installed correctly and communicate as it needs to
or
2. with the boilermate Storage System
There is another issue with the installation
Interestingly enough he pointed out the pumps attached to the 'Boilermate' are on 24x7 which points to problem 1 and it would be expensive to fix (running new cabling between the 'Boilermate' (upstairs) and the boiler itself (downstairs).
I hope this helps answer some of your questions. Paul
