I have just bought a 1999 T-reg peugeot 206 1.4 LX which had its own JVC stereo installed. I removed this without issue and replaced it with the standard stereo it came with (as supplied by previous owner). when i turn the ignition on an "7 error" is shown on the display - i cannot find an obvious reset buton and there is no manual provided to detail an error list so i was wondering if a. someone knows what this error means and b. is there a way to fix it.

Hi guys,
The radio doesn't come on at all, checked the fuses all OK.
When I go through the display it says 'radio out' is this normal?

instead of showing the
4 dashes when locked out, it shows error, then the amount of incorrect attempts. You have a maximum of 14 attempts, then the unit will need to be returned to Clarion. Error 4 to 6 should take 5 minutes before the ( - - -
- ) are shown. It is now that the code should be entered. If at this stage it shows "Error 5", then you have been supplied the incorrect code. if this is the case, you'll need to contact clarion with your stereo serial number, car vin number and as much info as possible.

yo mate, try ringing the main dealer the car was oringial bought off.they should be able to give u some details on this issue, they should have a code for the cd system and another one for the radio try both. good luck.
