Mend Peugeot 206 Left

206 indicator not working when indicating left?

(Peugeot 206 52 reg) For the last 3 years my indicator has been tempremental when indicating left. Sometimes will only work when held down. Lately it has stopped virtually altogether. Still works when indicating right. Garage charging me £300 (!) for new stalk - am i being fleeced - do I need a new stalk or is it just the contacts?

You can get a second hand one as far as i know it would be cheaper. Not familiar with 206 stalk but have changed them on clio`s. got the stalk delivered for 50 pound from traynors in northern ireland about a year ago. A breakers yard would let you know if its easy to remove and replace it.

Sounds as if you need a new stalk as you put it. Not just a stalk these days - more a mini computer - hence the price!
