How Can I get out of safe mode on my GE VHS?

My GE VHS is in Safe Mode. I would like to know how to get it out of safe mode?

Hold down the "On/Off" button on your remote for more than 5 seconds. It will seem a lot longer than 5 seconds but the VCR should come on, on the last station that you were watching.
