Is it hard to replace RAM in a desktop PC, and what is involved?

Depends on the PC but here is the sequence: remove the covers. Earth oneself, remove RAM, replace RAM, put covers back on.

They nearly all come with (or you can download) a small manual that tells you how in detail.
