Mend Bissell 1699-P Steamer Model

How to Dismantle Bissell Power Steamer to Unclog It?

My Bissell Power Steamer, model 1699-P is clogged and will not spray. How do I go about dismantling it? I have the Bissell user manual but it does not go into detail how to take the beast apart.

I have an 8905 (proheat clearview). They may use the same heater core. I put some notes here:



taking that top handle apart was more challenging that I thought it would be. Take your time with the screwdrivers and have fun.
