Mend Renault Espace Heater Blows Air

1998 Renault Espace Heater only blows cold air!!!?

I have a 1998 Espace who lost its ability to produce warm air some time ago and with winter approaching i though its about time i fixed the problem.

However there is not haynes manual for this car only to N reg so i need to know a couple of things:

first is what might be the problem? and secondly were is the heater matrix so i can replace if necessary. I have been told it lies behind the insulation at the back of the engine bay can anyone confirm this?

A common problem is the matrix which be comes blocked. The only answer is to replace the matrix which is very expensive. Replacements can be obtained on Ebay.

Recently went to buy one of these and found the same problem, Renault dealer said it could be the Thermostat cheapest & easiest to replace at the start. They also said it could be the heater matrix & this lies behind the dash board. Hope this helps.
