During power-up, the radio checks the car's unique identification information via the CAN bus. If the radio is retrofitted into another car, the information will not match the previously stored in the radio EEPROM memory. As a result, an error message of "CANCHECK" will appear or the radio will request the code.
You need to check if all wires are properly connected to the radio. The radio needs to receive the CAN bus signal to operate.
If the wires are connected but you still see "CANCHECK", you will need to have the radio reprogrammed by a professional decoding specialist.
