Mend Worcester 241 RSF Work Combi Boiler

How do I get my clock timer to work on combi boiler?

I have a Worcester Combi Boiler 241 RSF, I cannot get the clock timer to work to pre-set heating. I assumed you switched dial to 'automatic' and indented the acquired time on clock ensuring the current time is set by the arrow at the top. Am I being thick?

Sounds correct may be fault with clock.
