Mend Qualcast 35S Front Bit Metal

How do I fix the front roller on Qualcast 35S ?

The retaining bit on one one end has pininged / sheared off. Do I need a new metal rod bit of can I just fix a retaining clip?

what yout after is a push on retaining clip anyone who comes to our shop we give them to them for nothing but it might be 50p or something where ever you are.
