Mend Rover Quantum 50 Mower Wont Start

mower won't start?

Hi,have a rover mower quantum 50 engine model12f802,type1975b1,code03102756 mower 4yr old has been relieable until recently,the mower has been regularly maintained but won't start.doing everything the same as usual prior to starting (primer butt x3,full throttle)still no go,checked paper air filter which is quite clean but notice excess fuel on removal of filter please can you help thks Radi.

As a first step, change the spark plug. If still nothing, is there any chance water has got into the fuel tank. Only takes a drop to block the main jet. Unscrew the float bowl retaining bolt and allow to drain.

Turn on fuel tap (if fitted) to purge fuel line.

Don't forget to hold the 'dead-man's handle'! (if fitted)
