FORD IVECO 75E15 how do i opperate the key mechanism for the tilt cab ?

i,ve just bought a FORD IVECO CARGO van 75e15 and cant get the cab to tilt ...the key mechanism at the hydraulic pump... could it be faulty or is there a release lock or something that i'm not aware of ? i just pump and nothing happens. the ceramic knob just seems to turn to freely when i turn the key it kind of clicks ..then the knob wont budge clockwise or anti clockwise...anybody out there could help...thank you in advance

i have kind of solved it myself ... i broke off the ceramic key bit to reveal that it was worn on the inside ..improvising with a spanner i have managed to turn it to the right to allow the pump action to work ...then immprovising again i turn it to the left to allow the cab to be pumped down .... the iveco is a 95.. thanks for your reply...asd

what age is it?
My tilt cab has a 'key' which i turn with the end of the pumping bar (there is a slot in the end.)
Turn clockwise then pump to raise the cab
Turn Anticlockwise then pump to lower

It takes 10 pumps or so to see movement.
