Hi im going to guess it,s a 4 speed auto.
Main problem they suffer with is the forward clutch drum cracks allowing the clutch to open up and slip when applied this then burns it out.
The new drums modifide around the welding and the clip groove to help prevent this.
How ever the main cause of the problem is the valve body wears out,so the ooil pressure is hugely increased when you select drive or reverse putting a lot more pressure on the components.
Only fix is a full rebuild with convertor.
