Hi,
I presume you're talking about the sucking fan visible thru the front casing once the turbo head is removed.
You should only be saving around $20 bucks trying to do it yourself, and it is really a pain in the proverbial. If you don't have a fan removal tool to lock the rear shaft then you have to remove the rear casing and ALL of the trims. Some of the wiring is quite sort and it's like a jigsaw in there. far better to make some other poor person have to do it!!
The front shaft (belt pulley) should unscrew and the fan and some washers seperate but it's the locking of the rear shaft that will present an issue, and the removal and reinstallation of the rear case assembly so that one can lock the rear shaft.
Good luck if you attempt this one yourself.
