Mend GMC C3500 Start Drive Miles

truck won't start?

my gmc c3500 won't start. after I drive it 20 miles and shut it off, it starts if I try it right away, if I wait 10 minutes it will not start, I then wait 30 minutes or so and it starts. What is going on here? It doesn't click and I cannot jump start it.

GMC GMC C3500 Vehicles, Cars Start Drive Miles

have to rule out starter first.connect for jump as normal,but remove the small trigger wire from the solonoid.connect a wire to solonoid terminal and touch other end to battery +,starter should spin and run.if doesnt then starter probably shot.if it does,then (if its an auto) the starter motor interlock switch on the box is faulty /maladjusted.
