2001 Ford Focus Zetec?

Hope u replaced all ignition leads with geuine ford parts?and renewed plugs with correct grade and gaps?as for the emwl,they realy need cancled.argos are selling a code reader for £40 that is capapble of basic diagnosis and can clear lights.for that money where i am switching lights off costs £25 upwards so purchase seems economical.(my equipment cost considrerably more)and it might give you a heads up about short coil life.ps,I only fit ford coil packs.although they cost more i dont see the failure rate u have.
